A fully remote contract role for a Project Manager who owns enterprise localization programs end-to-end — customer SLAs, linguist teams and vendors, quality, risk, and margin. For a detail-obsessed operator who stays calm under deadline pressure.
We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-scaling, AI-powered localization and translation company — on a confidential basis. They deliver multilingual AI and human-verified language services to enterprises, governments, and AI developers around the world.
This is an end-to-end Localization Project Manager role. You'll own enterprise localization programs from intake to delivery — hitting every customer SLA, orchestrating linguist teams and vendors, and holding the line on quality, risk, and margin.
It's a fully remote contract role for someone meticulous and calm under deadline pressure, who can balance many clients and task types at once without letting a detail slip.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project delivery: run the full project-management workflow autonomously and deliver every project on time, in line with customer SLAs.
- Balance and prioritise across many task types and clients at once, responding to internal and external stakeholders within defined SLAs.
- Own resourcing: maintain core teams and the vendor pipeline, self-source linguists from the vendor database, and delegate and train supporting resources.
- Own quality, risk and finance KPIs: manage Review / Verification / QA / LQE, handle complaints, run ongoing risk assessment and mitigation, and process invoicing and payments.
- Escalate production blockers effectively (Jira) with proposed solutions, and feed revenue forecasts based on production volume.
- Govern technical execution: follow production SOPs, maintain process documentation, run file analysis with the Solutions team, and build linguistic assets (TMs, style guides, reference material).
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in localization project management, or a closely related field.
- A bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisation and multitasking.
- Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
Nice to Have
- A master's degree.
- Hands-on experience with TMS / CAT tools and translation-memory management.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted translation and machine-translation post-editing workflows.
- Vendor sourcing and linguist-community management experience.
