ArgusRecruit is recruiting on behalf of an international software company on a confidential basis. Our client is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to own automation strategy and drive quality across multiple product surfaces.
You will lead the design and execution of automated test suites, integrate AI-assisted testing tools into the workflow, and mentor mid-level QA engineers. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test suites using WebdriverIO (WDIO)
- Drive functional, regression, integration, performance, API, and end-to-end testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Leverage AI-powered testing tools to accelerate test creation and defect detection
- Mentor junior engineers and drive quality standards across teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams in English
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of professional QA experience with strong focus on test automation
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript; working knowledge of Python or Java a strong plus
- Deep, hands-on expertise with WebdriverIO (WDIO)
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered testing tools and AI-assisted development tools
- Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, performance, API, and E2E testing
- Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of Git
- Excellent command of English
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional frameworks (Cypress, Appium, Playwright)
- Performance and load testing tools (Locust, JMeter, k6, Gatling)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience testing AI/ML-based applications
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
